While Specsavers Acton is closed for all routine eye and hearing tests at the moment, they are still open to provide essential care and support local keyworkers.
Customers are being encouraged to call their local store if they need urgent support with a visual problem, or if they have issues with their glasses, contact lenses or hearing aids.
Local customers are already benefitting
The team have been supporting the local community by fixing their glasses as well as giving key workers sight tests and getting them glasses so that they can continue the important work they are doing
The staff have also been fielding a great number of worried calls from customers and have been able to address and alleviate these concerns through continued access to professional optical services.
A word from the store director
Annand Soneji, ophthalmic director, says: We’re grateful to have had the capacity to remain open during this difficult period, and we’re proud of the help we’ve been able to provide to those in isolation. It can be extremely difficult during isolation if you cannot undertake your normal activities due to poor vision.
‘We want the local community to know that, while we are closed for routine appointments at the present time, we are still very much here to support people with their essential eye care needs, and to make sure they can see and hear healthily whilst staying at home – so please give us a call if you need us.’
