Assistant manager at Specsavers in Abingdon, Lorraine Robinson, flew the extra mile recently to help a customer who had broken their varifocals two days before flying to Greece on holiday.

There was no time for replacements to be made before the customer left on her travels, but by coincidence Lorraine was visiting the same place on holiday.

Lorraine fast tracked the order and packed the specs in her suitcase, then called the customer on her arrival to arrange collection.

Store director, Atul Vadgama said: ‘The customer was utterly delighted with the glob trotting service!’
