Specsavers in Keynsham has recently undergone a refit to improve its offering to customers in the local community, transforming its store into a cutting edge optical facility.
The store has been refurbished to allow more space, with two additional testing rooms taking the total up to five, as well as offering one specific room for hearing tests, helping those who suffer from hearing loss in the surrounding area.
Ophthalmic Director, Vinay Solanki, commented: ‘We’ve gone through a lot of changes in store, but it is all for the better! The team is able to see many more customers and we can offer the community much more in terms of hear care. We offer a dedicated service to our customers, and are now able to fulfil that more than ever.’
Investment in state-of-the-art equipment has also become a priority, with a number of the store’s brand new testing rooms benefiting from an auto-phoroptor - a computer controlled system used during an eye examination to determine refractive error and correct lens prescriptions. The store has also invested in a high tech Humphreys visual field analyser, a DVLA approved machine used to measure a person’s visual field, and a new auto-refractor.
Specsavers has also welcomed two new optometrists following the refurbishment, allowing the store to take on more customers as well as free up time for same day appointments.
Vinay added: ‘Both staff and customers are very impressed with our new look. The refit has given the store a new lease of life!’
