Droitwich wants to find charities

30 May, 2014

Specsavers Droitwich is searching for good causes to fundraise for and support during the next 12 months.

The store has invited local charities, sports teams, community groups, individuals or schools to nominate themselves for the fundraising support. Each nomination must include seven reasons as to why they should receive support – tying in with the store’s seventh birthday.

The store is pledging to raise at least £500 for the nominated cause, however, time is running out with the deadline is fast approaching on the 23 June.

‘This is a great opportunity to give something back to the local community,’ said Emma Singh, store director. ‘There are so many wonderful causes out there, hopefully the nomination activity will make the decision fairer and easier!’

‘We’d like to encourage people to nominate a cause they feel deserves our support. It could be for an individual who needs treatment for an illness or a local nursery group which would like to renovate its playground. If you know of a cause we’d be very grateful to hear from you.’
