Kind-hearted Chloe takes fundraising in her stride
A caring member of staff from Specsavers in Largs walked over 20 miles with her mum to raise money for youngsters in need.
Chloe McMurray, 21, from Beith, took on the 2014 Kiltwalk trek with her mum Geraldine Scott.
Walking for Scottish children’s charities
The Kiltwalk is a Scottish charity that organises sponsored walking events to raise money for Scottish children’s charities.
Chloe and her mum embark on the enduring trek Setting off from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, journeying through Partick and Clydebank, and onto Loch Lomond, Chloe joined hundreds of people on the 23 mile trek.
Her own charity total has reached a fantastic £442.50, with donations still coming in.
Chloe, who works as an NHS administrator and optical assistant at Specsavers in Largs, said: ‘It was a really good experience – it was great to do something that I’d never done before and that was a bit different.
‘I really enjoy fundraising with my mum and we try to do something new every year.
‘Everyone was really friendly and supportive on the day and there was a great atmosphere.
Store director Chris Leatham says: ‘We’re very proud of Chloe and what she has achieved and hope she continues with her annual fundraising activities.’
