Chester-le-Street store celebrates tenth birthday
Specsavers in Chester-le-Street has raised more than £200 for St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
The store, located in the town’s Front Street, marked its 10th birthday with a week long of celebrations and by donating 10p from every £10 spent in store during that week.

The store created a party atmosphere with stilt walkers, balloons, birthday cake and goody bags.
Mr Harrison was the lucky winner of a a pair of designer specs after guessing the right number of recycled glasses in the jar.
Ross McLachlan, store director at Specsavers in Chester-Le-Street, says: ‘We really wanted to celebrate this milestone with our customers and show them how much we appreciate their support.
'It was great to be able to have so much fun and raise a fantastic amount of money for a local charity. Fundraising is important to Specsavers and we are always overwhelemd by the generousity of our customers.
‘We would like to thank all of our customers for their continued support and we hope they had as much fun as we did.’
