Specsavers' Trongate team have celebrated 25 years of caring for the sight of people in the city centre of Glasgow with a spectacular birthday celebration in store.
The store staff of opticians and audiologists held a birthday party to mark the important quarter-of-a-century milestone, while treating one birthday girl to a special surprise on the day.
Heather Smith, who shares her 25th birthday with the store, received a special treat when she attended a routine eye test and was given a free pair of designer glasses.
Staff celebrated with a Specsavers branded birthday cake, and customers also had the chance to join in the special occasion.
Goody bags and sweets were handed out to customers and the store gave a special one-off discount of 25 per cent off any single pair of glasses.
Customers were also entered into a special draw in store with the chance of winning one of ten pairs of designer frames.
Dave Quigley, store director said: ‘It was a fantastic day and everyone really got involved in helping us celebrate the milestone. We’re really proud to have served Glasgow city centre for 25 years, and we enjoy providing a vital service to customers in the town.
'25 years really has passed in the blink of an eye and we would like to thank all of our customers for their continued support. We look forward to serving the city for another 25 years and beyond.’
