The festive season is filled with lots of Christmas work parties and events and this often means getting glammed up! Being a full-time glasses wearer, I often opt for contact lenses when it comes to special occasions however they’re not always my go-to when it comes to comfort. I much prefer the feel of glasses, it’s just something I’m used to. So, this year, why not make your glasses part of the outfit!

Take these round, red metal framed specs - the subtle change in colour and matching it to my dress really helps bring the outfit and frames together.

Whether it’s a casual outfit with boots and a bit of sparkle or a full on evening gown, glasses can go with any look! I've paired rectangular, tortoiseshell specs to go with a classic evening gown. The gold detail on the temples add an extra hint of elegance as you turn to the side.

There’s also a myth that you need to do your make-up differently when you wear glasses. I don’t tend to follow that rule… winged eyeliner to heavy eyeshadows, with glasses you can rock it all! A bold, red lip teamed up with classic, dark frames is a match made in heaven and will be sure to turn some heads this Christmas.

Round shaped frames are one of my faves! These are slightly bigger and darker than my day-to day pair and make a subtle change to my everyday look.

Following my formula of a dark, classic frame, a red lip and mixing in some sparkle too, this outfit can look very dressed up but teamed with some chunky, platform boots it becomes more wearable for daytime.
