Why do some people develop noise induced hearing loss and others exposed to similar noise levels have no problems?
Really good question which I'm afraid we don't have an answer for. It seems that some individuals are more susceptible to noise induced hearing loss than others, just as some people develop age related hearing loss at an earlier stage of their life than others. The precise reasons for this are unknown so our best advice is to take precautions by using hearing protection whenever you are exposed to loud noises, whether at work or at home.?
