Help and frequently asked questions

What is the life expectancy of hearing aids?

I have just purchased a pair of hearing aids (advance 415 granite digital) and was wondering what the life expectancy is, before I need to purchase new ones?
Answer:
Most hearing aid users choose to change them approximately every 3-4 years, dependent on their personal hearing requirements. As you can imagine, modern technology is improving at a rapid rate and significant developments in hearing aids usually occur every 2-3 years. That said, if hearing aids are well maintained and regularly serviced, there is no reason why they cannot last up to 5 or 6 years before requiring replacement.
