On average, how long do hearing aids last?

Answer:

The cliched answer to this question is 'How long is a piece of string?' Depending on how well they are maintained, some people keep the same hearing aids for up to 10 years. That said, on average, most people tend to change their hearing aids approximately every 4 - 5 years, not because their existing aids don't work any more but because improvements in technology over that period normally mean they are able to hear even better with newer models.
