NHS Hearing Aid batteries
Good afternoon. I have Oticon hearing aids, which are via West Herts Hospital in Hemel. I get my batteries for free, but wondered if I am able to obtain from you under the same deal please?
As you got your hearing aids? from West Hearts Hospital, you must continue to get your free batteries from them. However, if you have had the aids for more than three years, you might be eligible for an upgrade to new hearing aids. If this is the case, local NHS Primary Care Trusts in England can accredit high street audiologists, such as Specsavers Hearing Centres, to provide them instead. This also includes your hearing test, hearing aid fitting and aftercare, free.To see if you live in an area where you can get free NHS hearing aids at Specsavers, go to the Specsavers Hearcare website www.specsavers.co.uk/hearing and type in your postcode. If they are available in your area, contact your GP in the first instance.
We recommend you seek professional advice if you are concerned about your hearing
