I've got something in my eye, what should I do?

Answer:

Firstly don't rub the affected eye!

If the foreign body isn't washed away by your tears or by bathing your eye, seek out an eye examination in casualty as soon as possible, especially if the object can't be seen.

Try to keep the affected eye shut until you can be seen.
