I have got a hearing aid from Specsavers and would like to know if there is anyway of reducing wind noise on the hearing aid?

Answer:

Many hearing aid users report that they notice increased wind noise when wearing their hearing aids outside. Dependent on the level of technology inside your aids, it is sometimes possible to slightly reduce wind noise and this is generally achieved by reducing the amplification levels for the low pitch sounds. However, there is always a compromise as reducing low pitch amplification will alter the hearing aids' response to speech and other environmental sounds. The other possibility is to ask your Hearcare Professional for an extra programme (where available) for use outdoors.
