Do I need a GP referral for a private hearing test?

I already wear two digital NHS hearing aids supplied by Sherwood Forest hospital trust. I want a hearing test with a view to purchasing in-the-ear private hearing aids. Do I need a GP referral please?

Answer:

You do not need a GP referral to have a private hearing test. Contact your local Specsavers Hearing Centre (details on the website) and phone to make an appointment with the audiologist.
