Custom molded earphones

I find that most earphones I buy fit badly so I have to turn the volume up higher to hear them properly. I would like to get a custom moulded set made, but need to get an open-mouth ear mould made to send to the manufacturer. Is this something you could do? Do-it-yourself kits are available, but this seems like it could be dangerous.

Whilst available on the internet, you are quite correct in thinking that do-it-yourself kits for taking ear impressions can be very dangerous. The best advice is to visit your local Hearcare Centre and discuss your needs with the Hearing Care Professional. Many will be able to take ear impressions for you that can be forwarded to your earphone manufacturer.
