Help and frequently asked questions

Can my husband with Parkinsons have a hearing test?

My husband has Parkinsons and is a bit heavy-handed when pressing buttons on the remote control. Does your equipment cope with this problem when testing hearing?

Anyone who is heavy-handed, whatever the cause, is absolutely fine to have a hearing test. The response button that he will be asked to press is relatively large and very robust so heavy-handedness is not an issue. For those individuals who can't press a button at all, it is possible to modify the test for them to respond in a different way. If you have any particular concerns, my best advice is to discuss them with the hearcare professional at the start of the appointment.
