Can hearing aids help with music?

I have quite significant hearing loss, currently using Phonak hearing aids which need replacing soon. I enjoy singing and I am a member of a choir. As well as needing help with being able to follow conversations, I am wondering if a hearing aid would help with music - hearing the accurate pitch of a note for instance?

Answer:

Modern technology within hearing aids can indeed help those who are either music enthusiasts or those that actively participate in playing/singing. When considering which new hearing aids are most appropriate, chat to the audiologist about your specific requirements, particularly for singing in a choir.
