Help and frequently asked questions

Can contact lenses protect against ultraviolet (UV) light?

By themselves, contact lenses don't provide adequate protection against ultraviolet (UV) light - even if they've had a UV tint added. While most contact lenses are now produced with UV filters, these don't block out all UV so sunglasses are the best way to protect your eyes against UV light.
