Ask the expert

Can colour blindness develop?

Answer:

Some medications and diseases can cause a change in the nerve supply to the colour-sensing cells in the retina which can lead to changes in colour vision.

If you notice any changes in your colour vision, book an appointment with your optician or GP as soon as possible.
