Significant new eyecare contract awarded
Specsavers Corporate Eyecare has won a significant new contract to provide eyecare for employees at Scotland’s Railway, ScotRail.
Employing over 4,700 people, ScotRail will now be providing Specsavers’ Spectacles eVouchers to its staff, giving access to an eye examination and choice of glasses from an extensive range. Nadya Kuhl, Occupational Health Manager at ScotRail, comments: ‘As we operate across Scotland, we need an eyecare provider that does the same. There are over 65 Specsavers stores in Scotland alone and that means there is always a high quality optician conveniently placed for all our employees.’
The eVouchers will allow ScotRail to provide each relevant employee with eyecare. Alongside all eVouchers, Specsavers Corporate Eyecare offers Premium Club vouchers, at no extra charge. These entitle each employee, and members of their family, to additional discounts on glasses at Specsavers. Used in conjunction with the Spectacles eVoucher and two-for-one offers at Specsavers, this means that employees can choose to upgrade to designer frames at very little cost.
Nadya Kuhl continued: ‘We are delighted to be offering this eyecare benefit to our staff from Specsavers. We are also pleased with the transparency offered by the eyecare portal. Spend and usage is easily tracked online, and the whole process of managing eyecare for all our staff is very easy.’
Dona McLafferty, Corporate Account Manager in Scotland for Specsavers Corporate Eyecare, said: ‘Value for money is a particularly important aspect for an organisation like ScotRail. With our eyecare eVouchers, they are secure in the knowledge that all members of staff receive the same high level of service, for the same low cost to the organisation. We are delighted to be adding such a well-known and significant name to our list of customers and look forward to working with ScotRail.’
