Specsavers leads simplicity and style at Safety and Health Expo

April 2014

TWO pioneering new options will be fronting the stand for Specsavers Corporate Eyecare at the Safety and Health Expo in June 2014. eVouchers will be presented as the future of simple, cost-effective, eyecare, while wraparound-style safety frames will demonstrate how employees can be encouraged to consistently wear appropriate eye protection.

eVouchers were first launched by Specsavers Corporate Eyecare under a pilot scheme last year and are transforming the way eyecare is purchased, allocated and managed. Health and safety professionals and HR managers will be able to see for themselves how simple it is to place orders, allocate vouchers to relevant members of staff, review real-time redemption reports and make payments, online. Keeping the entire process completely paperless, employers may even allocate vouchers via an email, generated directly from the system, and the employee can even use their smart phone to redeem the voucher for expert eyecare at any Specsavers store.

Wraparound-style safety frames will also feature on the Specsavers Corporate Eyecare’s stand, to capture the imagination of health and safety professionals looking for a solution to employees non-conforming with eyecare regulations. The modern look of the wraparound-style safety frames means that the glasses are very popular with employees and so are more likely to be worn. They are available as an alternative choice under Specsavers’ standard safety vouchers, so may be offered at no additional cost to the employer.

Laura Butler, key accounts manager at Specsavers Corporate Eyecare, says: ‘It is exciting to have two such innovative products on our stand for the Expo. The eVouchers are really changing the way in which people purchase and manage eyecare for their employees. The time and cost savings, along with the convenience, have made the eVouchers an instant success with all our existing clients. The wraparound-style safety frames also seem to have caused quite a stir. Making safety eyecare more appealing is a simple idea but with wide-reaching effects.’

The Safety and Health Expo takes place from Tuesday 17 until Thursday 19 June 2014 in Excel, London. Visit Specsavers Corporate Eyecare at stand N2201.
