Balfour Beatty is one of the latest corporations to take its employee eyecare online with Specsavers Corporate Eyecare’s eVouchers.
Balfour Beatty now offers eVouchers to more than 1,000 of its employees, covering sight tests, safety eyewear and DSE eyecare. The company has taken advantage of the online management system, which enables the whole process of eyecare to be handled quickly and efficiently online. eVouchers can be chosen, paid for and distributed electronically. With redemption reports and dates for when the next eye examination is due also held on the system, there are clear process reports and audit trails.
Stuart Logan, buyer at Balfour Beatty said: ‘We have been using Specsavers Corporate Eyecare for our eyecare provision for some time and were keen to experience the benefits of the online vouchers. We place our orders on the secure portal on the Specsavers website and make the payment there and then. This means we have instant access to the vouchers. We can purchase any number or combination of vouchers to cover the different needs of our staff at the time and there is no possibility of vouchers getting lost or delayed. We can email the eVouchers straight to each relevant individual and they can even present them at the Specsavers store on their smart phone.’
Dona McLafferty, corporate account manager for Specsavers Corporate Eyecare, says: ‘The online system of eVouchers has proved very successful for Balfour Beatty. Many of our clients appreciate the online analysis of usage that the management system allows but for Balfour Beatty, the simplicity of distribution was the main attraction. This is often the case for companies that have several offices, or employees spread across different geographical regions. Being able to centralise the eyecare provision, as one would with other benefits like pensions, enables the employer to ensure all employees are receiving their full and fair entitlement.’
eVouchers for eyecare are available covering DSE eyecare, Driver eyecare, Safety eyewear and optical eyecare. It is simply a case of registering online at www.specsavers.co.uk/corporate. Vouchers can then be purchased as and when required, with no contract and no tie-in. The first purchase must be for a minimum of just five vouchers.
