At Specsavers, we know that most people who suffer from hearing loss do so in both ears. We also know that wearing one hearing aid when two are required could still leave you with problems, but some companies charge so much that buying two is prohibitively expensive.

Independent research shows that Hidden Hearing charges on average £3,869 and Amplifon on average £2,528 for two hearing aids, which would cost just £1,195 for comparable products at Specsavers. And their prices also varied by thousands of pounds for the same product in different stores of the same company.

The research was carried out and verified by Keydata Research during August '09. Mid-range products of comparable specification and fitting styles were identified, and prices obtained from a number of stores across the UK. The results of their findings are shown in the comparison table below.
