Eye is sore to touch and painful with blurred vision

I'm having problems with my left eye. Although it appears to look fine, it is incredibly sore to touch just below and really quite painful to even blink. It's been sore for 2-3 days now and when waking up this morning it has felt worse. It feels achy and when covering my right eye, appears to be quite blurry also. I would appreciate any advice you have!

Answer Written answer:

Pain in the eye should not be neglected but more so if your vision is affected. You will certainly have some sort of eye infection which could be serious and need urgent treatment so I would try and see an optometrist today. If not I think you will have to go to A & E.

We recommend you seek professional advice if you are concerned about your eye health:
