Episodes of dizziness and eye strain


wot could it meand if i am having mild dizzy spels and goin a little light headed.

I am sorry to hear that you that you are sometimes feeling a bit light headed and also suffering from mild dizzy spells.

These symptoms are usually caused by fatigue or exhaustion. They can also be caused by other underlying general health problems such as high blood pressure or inner ear problems which can affect your balance or could simply be due to dehydration.

If you feel that these problems are being caused by your eyes then you may be suffering from eye strain. Eye strain can sometimes also cause frontal headaches. In these circumstances, it is important to take regular breaks from the activity which is causing your eye strain, i.e. take a 5 minute break every half an hour if you are using a computer. I would also recommend having a sight test performed as your optician will probably be able to determine the cause of your eye strain and may be able to help by prescribing glasses.

If you feel that your symptoms are not due to your eyes, then it is well worth making an appointment to see your GP.
