Advice for ordering contact lenses online


My latest eye test was on 29/06/2011
Right sph +2.25 cyl -2.75 axe 10 add 2.25
Left +2.00 add 2.25
I need advice for contact lenses so I can order from you on-line. I am not currently in the U.K. so cannot visit one of your stores. I have worn contact lenses before.

To order contact lenses from an optician or online you need a written prescription with all the contact lens details, expiry date, and signature. You need to have a contact lens consultation to get the fitting, power and type of lens, of which there are many different types. You need two different prescriptions, one for distance and the other for reading. And to achieve this is difficult, but not impossible, in a contact lens. Also you need a toric lens (if you have soft lenses) to correct the astigmastism in the right eye.  So there is no shortcut but to get a full fitting from a qualified contact lens fitter or optometrist.
